I am getting excited!
After seeing Uffe's post about the Mille Lac's Crossing and speaking with Mike Fox, the organizer of the 25th. Ultimate Challenge in Windsurfing, the Marathon on water, I have to say the butterflies are starting ... This is our last regatta of the year and it is truly said: Save the Best for Last. This is my 3rd Crossing, Brad and Paul's 5th. (I believe) and the Surfer's and Stuart's first! Wow! Wind looks promising for a Saturday crossing according to Mike, which would be great and leaves us Saturday night for partying in the famous "Blue Goose". Getting all excited about windsurfing, especially I haven't sailed for one week. I will post a few of my highlight sessions of this year. There has been so many and most of them I don't have a picture from, but I will never forget. Brad riding the waves in front of me, in the sparkles of the sun set, only his sail visible like a silhouette. Jeremy snapping his sail out on the lake just like a little pro...Josh already doing tricks. It's been a great summer for us.

This is only one week ago. I was the last one of the water and had to soak it all in, till the sun went down.
I love this picture. Brad and me had such a fun time that day playing Cat and Mouse on the water. Guess who's the cat? Meow!

Strat and me taking off on Thunder Lake. He is the Speedster off the group and likes to go fast!

Shan's session with her ripped sail. But she never gave up! That's why she is the Trooper of the group!

Mikey took this picture at the Moose regatta. Brad and me crossing the finishing line together. This happened a few times this year, that we were just inches apart crossing the finish line. Fun!

My Maiden Voyage on the new Bic Nova

The Master, who always makes it look so easy.

The Nugget....

What a great shot of Brad, taken from a sail boat.

This was one of our early spring session, where the water was still very cold.

These pictures speak for itself. The beauty of finishing the day on the water.

Bet you weren't wearing a life jacket out there all by yourself on the water????
Looking forward to numbers 41 and 80 on Sunday.

Did wear a life jacket. At this time of year and going out by myself I wouldn't take a chance - always be prepared for the worst case scenerio. Even it is no fun, being in a full suit and life jacket again. I miss summer already;)

Glad to hear it. I even notice you wearing one today when we were out. As much as I hate wearing mine, as well as the suit (wet suit that is), I guess we have to put 'safety first'. It's so much nicer being on the water in our bikinis and bare feet. I miss summer already!

Hey Guys, I had a awesome late summer session on Lake Sailorville yesterday, it was WARM, probably almost 78 degrees, I went out with no wetsuit (figured it would be the last time for the year) and sailed for about 2.5 hrs in perfect planing conditions with my formula board. So much fun... Can't wait to see you guys this weekend, I am heading up late Thursday night to Minneapolis, then early Friday to Garrisson, should be in around 1 or 2 in the afternoon for some Friday fun sailing on Mille Lac, when do you guys arrive?

Hey Uffe - super windy here today, but definitely steamer conditions. Strat is out there right now on his 7.5m. We will leave Friday 8:00am, as soon as the rascals get on the school bus and we'll be on the road! I can't wait. This is going to be a very special crossing and I'm ready to hit the start line!!! Yeeehaaa!!!!
